AcupunctureNational Diploma in Acupuncture; Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine; Member of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists; ACC Treatment Provider.Tracey came to New Zealand from England in 1993 as a post-doctoral biologist, with an Honours degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Applied Biology. She worked for several years as a research biologist at Massey University, AgResearch, HortResearch, and the Department of Conservation, before deciding to pursue a long-term interest in Chinese medicine.She has previously worked as the acupuncturist at SportsMed, and as a Biochemistry tutor at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine. She was also contracted by the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists in 2003 tocompile the ACC Treatment Profiles for Acupuncture, which were finally published by ACC in 2006, and are now used by all registered acupuncturists in New Zealand. In 2008 Tracey was elected Southern Representative for the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists, and in 2009 became vice-president of the Register. Tracey's areas of interest include injury rehabilitation, women's health, fertility enhancement, and the treatment of stress-related conditions. When not needling people, Tracey enjoys studying the Taoist philosophies behind Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Chinese language and calligraphy. She also spends as much time as possible with Wilberforce the Westiepoo! |
