Chiropractor
Mark Warren must rank as one of New Zealand's most broadly experienced chiropractors, having over 20 years' clinical experience, backed up with expertise derived from a 10-year stretch as a Senior lecturer at Europe's foremost chiropractic training college. He has been invited in both the UK and New Zealand to be one of only a small number of examiners assessing the competency of overseas chiropractors seeking to become professionally registered in each country, and has lectured to the chiropractic profession internationally. He's also just a wee bit stoked to be a ‘preferred provider' of chiropractic services for the 2011 Rugby World Cup here in Christchurch.
Although originally trained in England, Mark is now based permanently here in Te Wai Pounamu, living with his wife, two young children, two cats and a hoard of random musical instruments in sunny Diamond Harbour.
In the years since qualifying as a chiropractor, he has continued to expand his range of therapeutic skills and integrates the following into his treatments, where needed:

‘Active' muscle release techniques
- a highly effective treatment for resolving chronic muscle tension, shortening, scar tissue and adhesions which often act as an undiagnosed obstacle to full recovery

Kinesiotaping
- the application of specialist adhesive tapes to the body, usually for a short number of days, in order to normalise muscle firing patterns and re-habilitate movement

Specialist muscle balance and function testing, including
- Applied Kinesiology
- Sacro-occipital technique
Mark's approach to treatment is gentle, caring, professional and above all thorough. He particularly enjoys helping patients resolve chronic or difficult problems where other approaches to date have been unsuccessful, and taking a ‘whole person' approach in looking for the causes of pain.
Since settling in New Zealand in 2007 Mark has been working as a chiropractor at SportsMed in central Christchurch where he is now a partner. While that commitment continues he is pleased now to be joining the team at The Stables and to be in a position to offer his expertise and passion for wellness in service to the people of Lytellton.
